Accountability and Public Ethics
This course is a 3-unit major course in Master in Public Management entitled “Accountability and Public Ethics.” This subject will tackle Philippine ethics and accountability in the government and those relevant in the private sector. It also introduces ethical dilemmas and accountability issues of public administration as students learn to understand theories and traditions about it. It focuses on relevant laws like the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees and the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 as a mantra for Philippine public ethics and accountability.
At the end of the semester, the students will be able to generate support through a position paper on issues and concerns in private or public organizations relevant to ethics and accountability.
